David's books are extremely well researched. and the writing is great. Couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one.

I enjoy an easy-to-read fictional story that has well researched history, drama, and includes places and events that I’ve had some familiarity with. David Carney has given me that pleasure. The Rattle Snake Cove Series of six novels has those features, and not only those, but romance, risk-taking, espionage, and compassion. There are thrilling adventures in fascinating places where a nation’s people of cultural and generational changes are intimately observed in the time span of the series.

Following a young boy through his bold adventurous journeys the reader learns how he becomes a significant leader full of patriotism, a man of compassion and dedication for service to country and, all the while, remains connected and loyal to his friends in countries abroad. Each challenging mission brought benefit to others and eventually passed on his legacy to his children for their future of also doing good. In six volumes we see the maturing of a unique man possessing faith and determination overcome his past by doing good, that is, seemingly somewhat miraculous. Through his lifetime and relationships, he builds upon passion and energy earning the trust and admiration of friends and national leaders. I love the way the characters of the series grow old with grace and goodwill through the family generations of the chronicle.

Anticipation of the outcomes are surprisingly good and never disappointing. Each book in the series leaves the reader predicting if what happens next will be revealed or is a twist that’s turned. Great writing, David and, wife, Judy. Thanks for the series.

I really enjoyed the top of the mountain book and finally to see the completion of Danny and Maggie Ann’s journey. You have taken me with them to see many countries and places that I look forward to maybe seeing sometime in the future. I love the way you describe the cultures of the gypsies or Romani‘s, and Judith and Lucerne and Venice and the neat canals and sights all around. You have interwoven history throughout the story as well as your Christian faith into the lives of the characters. All the people save a couple we’re kind, generous, and good folks that everybody would want to meet. The love that Danny and Maggie Ann have kept them inseparable for so many years. After the conclusion of this book I’ve wondered about a follow-on starting with Doc and Danielle in their life possibly continuing the great work of Danny and Maggie Ann. Great book and wonderful story of patriotism.

I am incredibly blessed to know the best authors ever. David and Judith Carney are both talented published authors. I just finished reading the first five books of The RattleSnake Cove Series by David Carney. Each book in the series is filled with enough actual history to keep you wondering if the book is, in fact, an autobiography. David insists that though he has traveled to all the places mentioned in the books, they are, indeed, fiction. Those of us who have read them are begging for more. I highly recommend them!
